Aloha Tower Marketplace

Aloha!  The Aloha Tower Marketplace is a shopping complex on Pier 9 at Honolulu Harbour that has not been a great commercial success for its shops.  During the week, there were not a lot of people around, but it may be a different scene at night or on the weekends.  The Aloha Tower itself is part of the Marketplace and is a 184-ft structure, 10-story tower that was built back in 1926.
We went to the Gordon Biersch brewpub for lunch and since it was the start of Oktoberfest 2011, I indulged in a Festbier.  After lunch, I walked around the harbour taking happy snaps of the many ships in view, so I was in my element.
The Honolulu Harbour plays hosts to many Cruise Ships that dock for the day, which was the case for 'The American Pride'.

Aloha!
Sue.
